The Student Center Complex embraces the unique climate of South Florida and the lush, tropical University of Miami Coral Gables Campus with two student-centered indoor facilities, the Donna E. Shalala Student Center and the Norman A. Whitten University Center, as well as outdoor facilities including the Lakeside Patio Stage and Pool.
Both the Donna E. Shalala Student Center (SC) and the Whitten University Center (UC) house student organizations, student life departments, as well as provide flexible meeting and event spaces. Both Centers are located along the shores of Lake Osceola.
The Whitten University Center is the site of smaller meeting rooms while the Donna E. Shalala Student Center's versatility offers space for 10 to 1,000 people. The Shalala Student Center is equipped with a vast array of multimedia capabilities and stylish environments.
The Student Center Complex truly is the Heart of the U, providing both office and lounge space for students and community rental facilities for flexible meeting and event spaces.
